Saul Arbess, Ph.D.,
is a cultural anthropologist and futurist dedicated to forming a new architecture of peace.
Teaching appointments were at the U. de Quebec, U. of Regina, Camosun College and Simon Fraser U.
Spokesperson, Canadian Department of Peace Initiative. We are working in concert with 23 other countries including the US, the UK, Australia, and Nepal to create national departments of peace. There are now 8 chapters across Canada.
Founding member of the Global Alliance for Ministries and Departments of Peace, 2005 with 22 member countries.
Member, National Board, Council of Canadians (2000-2005)
Victoria Chapter President (1996-2004)
Spokesperson, Conservation Sector, Vancouver Island Regional Land Use Table (1994-5). Played a major part in saving the lower Walbran Valley.
Founding member, Sea-to-Sea Greenbelt Society that played a critical role in the formation of the Sooke Hills Wilderness Park.
