Jamey Heath

Jamey Heath
Jamey Heath,
is the former research and communications director for the NDP caucus; and the communications director for Jack Layton's leadership campaign.  But he has also worked for Greenpeace and a union, while volunteering for the queer press and affordable housing groups.  Most recently, he is the author of Dead Centre: Hope, possibility and unity for Canadian progressives.  He also spent a lot of time on TV, the radio and the Internet commentating, and now spends time wondering if it was a good idea.  He has a journalism degree from Carleton University in Ottawa, and now lives in Toronto.

Strategic Challenge:

Jamey Heath is confused.  He doesn't understand why, with Canada tumbling down world rankings on the environment or social justice, progressive people aren't trying to fix politics that doesn't work.  We lose when Liberals are in office, then rush around trying to put them back on a voting system invented before the telephone.
