Teresa Marshall
Teresa Marshall is a social justice communicator and filmmaker. She has worked with the BCGEU for the past seven years on child care, environmental, anti-poverty and equity + human rights campaigns.
She previously worked with other unions including on the SEIU “Justice for Janitors” campaign in Silicon Valley. Teresa worked with the Gitxsan and Wet’suwet’en Hereditary Chiefs on media strategies for their landmark Delgamuukw land title case. She also worked for a number of years with the American Indian Film Festival, Headlines Theatre, and the MayWorks Festival of Arts & Working Life. Teresa’s documentary “Pocket Desert – confessions of a snakekiller” , commissioned by the National Film Board of Canada, is based on her experiences growing up as an eco-geek in the South Okanagan.
