Adriana Paz
Adriana is originally from Bolivia and this is her fourth year living in Canada. She has over 9 years of experience working on social justice issues with a diverse group of grass roots movements, especially with indigenous women in different cities in Bolivia. She has a Communications degree and solid background as community radio broadcaster, columnist for Bolivian newspapers and magazines, popular educator and social researcher on immigrant/migrant issues.
In Canada she is an organizer with Justicia for Migrant Workers BC, a grassroots organization advocating for the social, economic and labour rights of migrant workers. She’s involved with migrant justice networks and temporary workers advocacy groups across the country. She is also a founding member of the Canada-Bolivia Solidarity Committee whose mandate is to promote the current process of democratic transformation in Bolivia.
Although she is a relatively new immigrant, she is very determined to make Canada her second home, for that reason she works tirelessly to build a culture of solidarity and social justice.
